The Dream

As a child passionate about tennis, I used to imagine myself playing a Wimbledon final against Roger Federer. Being good at both sports and academics felt like a superpower back then. I never imagined there was a larger fork in the road waiting for me.

The Fork in the Road

By Class 11th, I found it difficult to give both the time they deserved. Managing both would have meant a decline in each, and eventually, burning out completely. So I made a decision. I chose academics over lawn tennis. One of the hardest calls I've had to make.

But that didn't mean I abandoned tennis. I kept playing, just for the pure joy of it. What stayed hardest was watching my own game slip, practice sessions growing fewer and further apart, until I could feel the gap between who I'd been on court and who I was becoming off it. Somewhere in that slow drift, I realised I'd left a part of myself on that court.

The Realisation

That's when it hit me: this isn't just my story. Almost all of us had one childhood game that made us forget about time, about every worry, and simply made us feel alive. Cricket, football, tennis, it never mattered which. The joy was always in the playing itself.

Making It

As I started exploring what generative AI could actually do, I couldn't resist bringing to life the one dream I'd only ever gotten to play out in my head. It felt like the right story to tell with it, a dream a part of me still wishes were true. So I decided to try creating an ad for Wimbledon, showcasing my story, and probably many others.

What It Means to Me

This ad film is a reminder of everything tennis has taught me: about winning, about the spirit of never giving up, about life, and most of all, about myself.

More than that, it feels like a promise to myself: that I will never fully leave a sport that shaped my entire childhood, and a part of who I am.
